Grade 5 students, Augusta Lewis Troup School, New Haven
Connecticut’s ornaments were designed and created by Grade 5 students from Augusta Lewis Troup School in New Haven. The students chose to showcase Connecticut State Parks to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the state parks program. They were excited to work with Author and Illustrator Sanna Stanley to conduct research and create spot illustrations that highlight the winter activities, wildlife, and historic monuments in some of Connecticut’s state parks. Students transformed their images into star-shaped folded books.
