Starry Night Studio
Florida's ornaments were designed and created by 2nd through 12th grade art students from Starry Night Studio in Tallahassee, Florida. Their inspiration was Florida's image as a vacation destination and its association with a carefree attitude. Each ornament reflects a clever, playful symbol which students drew. Then artist, Kathleen Carter, painted their unique images with bold and brightly colored high gloss enamel. Starry Night Studio is a small academic studio which promotes the importance of art in community. This project was ideal and very special to all of the students who participated. We all feel very proud to be involved.
