St. Stephen’s Episcopal School; Middle School Art Program
Pennsylvania’s ornaments were designed and created by the middle school art program from St. Stephen’s Episcopal School. Their inspiration was the Susquehanna River. Our students used the river as their inspiration and tried to capture their unique views of the Susquehanna in Tempera paint on the globes. St. Stephen’s Episcopal School has been on Front Street in Harrisburg for 36 years – directly across from the Susquehanna River. Our students receive environmental education from kindergarten through eighth grade and the river plays a role in those lessons throughout the year.
