Holt High School Visual Art Students
The ornaments for the State of Alabama were designed by 9th-12th grade Visual Art 1 students at Holt High School. The high school students partnered with students from the University of Alabama's Honors College in creating their designs using a wide range of media and techniques. The high school students selected various images or symbols that represent the state's diverse landscapes, wildlife, cultures, people, and history. The students then chose their own media which includes acrylic paint, spray paint, paper, found materials, and clay to complete the ornaments.
