The ornaments were created and designed by the 3rd-12th graders at Methodist Family Day Treatment School in Little Rock. They decided we needed to represent our beloved Razorbacks in some way while also representing all of Arkansas. We created little hogs out of styrofoam, wooden spools, pipe cleaners and felt. The students painted the hogs and helped to glue them all together. We cut trees out of AR State Highway maps and glued them and the hogs onto cardboard bases. They then added ‘snow’ with cotton balls. Throughout the project the students were very excited and proud and kept hoping out loud, “I hope Obama sees my ornament.”
