Tennessee’s ornaments were created by high school students with disabilities from the Murfreesboro Transition School and the Tennessee School for the Art. The students selected themes that represent the State such as the State animal (the raccoon), the State flower (the iris), and other options for which the State is known such as bass fishing, music and the Tennessee Walking Horse. The students worked with college partners from Middle Tennessee State University to complete the project.
